If you are moving within New Zealand or overseas it is important to understand or be aware of the status of goods in respect of insurance.
We at Trans International will make every endeavour to ensure that your belongings are moved without damage or loss. However accidents can happen and it is important to know where you stand.
You have two options in the movement of your goods with Trans International:
- You can insure them on the basis of declared value. You need to fill out an insurance inventory, listing the replacement value of all items. Trans International can offer a comprehensive policy to you.
- You can have them transported on the basis of "owners risk" which means Trans International will not pay any compensation for loss or damage unless we intentionally lose or damage them. If you choose this option, Trans International will ask you to sign a waiver stating you have chosen this option.
